Kythira — Kytherian land

Our Local Products

From the hands of our producers to your table — a taste of centuries of tradition, care and love for the land.

On an island where wind, sea and stone have written their own story, the people have kept their traditions alive — from the salt of the salt pans to the thyme honey of Kythira's bees.

Every product on this page represents a family, a small cooperative or a producer carrying on, with respect, techniques passed down from generation to generation.

Terra Vitta — olive groves of Kythira
Local identity

Terra Vitta — The identity of our land

Terra Vitta was born from the desire of Kytherian producers to unite their voices under a shared identity — a brand that speaks of the land, of care and of authenticity.

Every product bearing the Terra Vitta seal has been carefully chosen: from traditional olive groves to small family vineyards, all reflect the character of the island.

A partnership that honours the land, supports producers and brings the authentic Kytherian table to the rest of Greece and beyond.

UNESCO — Intangible Cultural Heritage

The bees of Kythira

The traditional beekeeping of Kythira — with its distinctive stone hives and techniques handed down from generation to generation — has been recognised by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage.

The island's beekeepers honour the bees as partners of the land, preserving the biodiversity of aromatic plants and producing one of the finest thyme honeys in the Mediterranean.

Every hive is a small community — and every community a voice that keeps our cultural memory alive.
